GCY-450 heavy rail car is mainly used for the transportation of materials, tools and personnel in line maintenance of 200km/h or above. The car is equipped with a crane, carrying small maintenance machinery and testing equipment; a generator and a hydraulic power source, can provide power for electric or hydraulic equipment. Requirements of [2010]51 (technical specification for heavy duty railcar) issued by the Ministry of transport in January 19, 2010.
The hydraulic transmission mode is adopted, the DH hydraulic transmission box is adopted, and the Cummins QSX15 series electronic controlled generator is adopted, which meets the requirements of Euro III emission, and the engine power is 447kW.
