On July 9th, Budapest Mayor IstvánTarlós opened an extension of the tram line 1 of Budapest to the Kelenföld train station.
The western extension of Eteleút/Fehérváriút is 7. 7 km, with the addition of an intermediate site in Bikás Park and Bártfaiút. Located at the intersection of the M4 line of Bikás Park and Kelenföld.
The work began at the end of 2017. The EU funds cover the HF8 billion HF8 billion project, and the rest comes from the Budapest municipal government.
In March 2015, Route 1 extended from Közvágóhíd to the Danube and arrived at Eteleút/Fehérváriút. This line is now 18.3 kilometers long.
